Valentine’s through the eyes of a female

No doubt women tend to be more emotional than men in many situations. Blame it on the hormones, but it’s a fact. However, of-course not all women are alike. Some women tend to be quite sensitive to some issues, others can be cool about it.  We are all different and that’s the beauty of it.
Valentine’s through the eyes of a femaleValentine’s Day is almost soon. I wondered how different women see that day. Women have always been accused to take such days too seriously. But is it really true? I have made a small survey among a number of beautiful women to know their thoughts about that day.  Let’s quote some of them…
'Valentine's day is not the MOST special day of the year. I think it’s just there to remind us that we are with someone special and should appreciate that someone .Again it's there as a reminder, because you should already appreciate that someone all year long, every day every year you should already be showing your partner in some way how much you love him/her. So for Valentine's Day, a simple rose or a box of chocolates would be fine for me. You gotta leave the BIG presents for anniversaries'
'The best thing for me would be hanging out at the place we first met or had our first date.
'Well, I always thought this day wasn’t special at all. I mean AT ALL. Until last year, the first valentine as an engaged person , when I didn’t give any attention to it. I just acted normal and didn’t think about getting him any gift and thought it would be the same for him too. But the thing is I was surprised that he got me a gift, a very nice one too that he had been preparing for a while . I was SO EMBARRASSED, so since then it has become special to me.  Would it be fine if your partner totally ignores it? Well he got me used to celebrating it, so it won’t be fine from now on … But there is room for mistakes of course.'
'Valentine’s Day? My husband and I do not believe that we should be 'assigned' a date to celebrate our love, especially that we do have an anniversary (one we chose together).  I think Valentine's Day is overrated, and I think it’s a commercial scam too.  People should be free to celebrate their love whenever they like!  Over the past 4 years, we haven't celebrated it once! I think it shouldn't be global, it’s not like it’s earth day for God’s sake.'
'Look I prefer just to hear' I love u' on that day.   Really I do, because for me it is not really that important occasion to celebrate, but in the meantime I don’t prefer to be totally ignored too. Also I won’t be annoyed if he got me some presents '
'For me, Valentine’s is an important day to share our feelings. Just one day devoted to show how much you care about your partner. And if he ignored it, I think I would be quite disappointed...I don't expect anything, just want to feel how much I'm loved.'
'Well, according to my circumstances now, I have got very high expectations since I’m pregnant and also this is the first valentine for us as a married couple. So of-course, most importantly I hope I won’t be delivering my girl on that day :) I wish to have a romantic night at home with a little surprise or some candles’ decoration. That would be perfect for me. I don't care about the gift that much. The most important thing for me is to hear I LOVE YOU on that day. '
'We don’t really celebrate it. But I don’t mind a simple gesture from him or some flowers. We prefer more to celebrate our special occasions like Engagement day or Anniversary later on when we get married.  I mean it’s not special when everyone is doing it on the same day.'
One fact is almost ALL women agreed that they want to feel loved on that day. It’s not about the gift. It’s about celebrating your beloved ones. Even if they know how much their men care about them, they would love to hear it out loud.
In my opinion, whether you’re single or in a relationship, Valentine’s Day is definitely a great chance to express how you feel.  Surprise your partner. Life is full of routine and busy times. Do it differently this time. You don’t have to spend every penny you have to show how much you care. Write a note. Send a sweet surprise to work or home. SPEAK…tell them how much you love them. No matter how many times you’ve said it, it definitely has a spectacular effect each time it’s heard. No one gets enough of sweet words. What’s important is to celebrate it like you mean it, in your own unique way. That way anything you would do…it would definitely hit straight into the heart.
